Pai Da 拍打 - Classical Daoist Health Preservation

  • Studio Yoga 2 Green Village Road Madison, NJ, 07940 United States (map)

Pai Da 拍打 is the classical health preservation practice of patting the channels to open and ensure smooth circulation of Qi and Blood. Thus it is used to both treat and prevent disease. This class will present a classical Daoist lineage of Pai Da that utilizes a special sack filled with rice and a Chinese herbal formula to enhance the patting. This lineage was handed down through the 20th century Qigong giant, Hu Yaozhen.

Our instructor, Wang Fengming, is a world renowned Taiji and Qigong master, and a master of the Nourishing Life tradition of Chinese medicine. He is a disciple of the late Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang, and an 11th generation lineage holder of Chen Style Taiji, a 2nd generation lineage holder of Hunyuan Chen Taiji, and a lineage holder of a classical lineage of Daoist Neigong (Qigong). He teaches internationally and is the author of numerous books and articles on Taiji, Qigong and health preservation methods. Dr. McCann will be assisting and translating for Master Wang.
